Yanez Compliance and BT Labs Partner to Launch Yanez MIID Subnet on Bittensor

March 28, 2025 – Yanez Compliance, an AI-powered platform for detecting and correcting exposure, weaknesses, and configuration flaws in financial crime prevention systems, is partnering with BT Labs to develop and launch the Yanez Multimodal Inorganic Identities Dataset (MIID) subnet on the Bittensor decentralized AI network.

Yanez Compliance enables financial institutions to evaluate the performance of their financial crime prevention systems, uncover blind spots, and remediate issues through targeted workflows. As regulatory expectations grow more complex, Yanez offers compliance teams a modular platform to validate models, monitor effectiveness, and improve outcomes across the financial crime operations lifecycle.

Through Yanez.ai, the company is expanding its capabilities into decentralized AI. The Yanez MIID subnet will serve as a research and inference network focused on name and entity resolution in sanctions and AML screening—an area where accuracy, explainability, and linguistic diversity are critical. By building on the Bittensor protocol, Yanez can tap into a global network of AI contributors while keeping compute and R&D costs predictable.

“Our mission is to enable financial institutions to build more reliable, transparent, and responsive crime prevention systems,” said Jose Caldera, Founder and CEO of Yanez Compliance. “Through Yanez MIID and our partnership with BT Labs, we’re creating a decentralized path to scale model development without sacrificing quality or control.”

BT Labs brings technical depth and operational experience in helping subnet developers navigate and establish themselves in the Bittensor ecosystem. BT Labs is a trusted contributor supporting new subnets in aligning incentives, providing computing power, ensuring sustainability, and accelerating product development.

“The launch of Dynamic Tao creates new opportunities for purpose-driven subnets,” said Jose Rios, founder of BT Labs. “We’re excited to support Yanez Compliance as they apply decentralized AI to one of the most important and complex challenges in finance—preventing illicit activity at scale.”

The Yanez-BT Labs partnership reflects a growing intersection between regulated industries and decentralized AI innovation. It represents a new approach to building domain-specific intelligence, one that’s collaborative, transparent, and built for scale.
