We've completed significant improvements to the MIID subnet validator system! Here's what's new:
🎯 Key Improvements Implemented
1. Enhanced Validator Model Management & Timeout Handling
Fallback Model System: Implemented automatic fallback to smaller models when Ollama encounters timeouts
Adaptive Timeout Configuration: Added configurable timeout options with intelligent retry logic
Model Availability Checks: Enhanced validation of model availability before query generation
2. Optimized Penalty System
Penalty Configuration: Set penalty to 1 and extra/missing names to 1 when needed for fairer scoring
Moving Average Optimization: Researched and implemented optimal values for better score stability
Score Distribution Quality: Enhanced `Similarity score distribution` function in reward calculations
3. Rule-Based Variation System
Separated Rule-Based Variations: Orthographic and phonetic similarity calculations are now independent from rule-based variations
Comprehensive Rule Evaluation: Added extensive rule compliance checking with 20+ different variation rules
Rule Compliance Scoring: New reward component (20% weight) for rule-based compliance evaluation
4. Enhanced Query Generation
Expanded Rule Set: Added more rules and removed outdated ones in query generation
Query Template Validation: Improved validation of query templates with better error handling
5. Performance & Scalability Improvements
Batch Size and Sample size Optimization: Updated default batch sizes and sample size

Testing Phase: Currently being tested on testnet
Mainnet Deployment: Will be pushed to mainnet in 1-2 days
Validator Action Required: All validators should update their code when we announce the mainnet push

Restart your validator
No new dependencies required - just a simple update!
